I have an audition for the American Clock this week, and for the audition we have to have a contemporary monologue. I have stopped singing in the shower. All I do is recite my monologue.

I recently auditioned for a play for the first time ever, after doing backstage tech for a long time. I was cast, and one of my friends told me that I now had to follow thespian peacock. We haven’t begun the rehearsal process yet, but this is definitely true. while i didn’t have a monologue, it was a back-and-fourth between two characters that was incredibly wordy. It was my first time memorizing lines for a show, and I found myself reciting the audition lines to myself constantly.
